North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s Founding Vice Chancellor for Strategic Partnerships and Economic Development, Timothy A. Minor has been named president/CEO of the University System of Maryland Foundation and the University System of Maryland‘s vice chancellor for advancement.

Minor was tapped following a rigorous national search, said USM leaders, who also said Minor’s track record of delivering resources and partnerships to advance organizational missions will be especially critical at a time of shrinking state and federal funding.
N.C. A&T leaders will share news of interim leadership for the division in the very near future.
Created two years ago, N.C. A&T’s Division of Strategic Partnerships and Economic Development is responsible for external relationships with businesses, governments, foundations and other organizations. It includes a growing team of eight professional staff members focused on governmental affairs, community engagement, small business development and external partnerships.
With an annual economic impact of more than $2.4 billion, North Carolina A&T is the primary higher education economic driver in the Piedmont Triad. Over the past year, it has entered major new partnerships with Toyota North Carolina, JetZero and Nvidia and is developing new relationships and enhancing existing partnerships with other organizations.
